* Full-Time PERM Position: Located in Thomastown, VIC
* Roster: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm + Overtime (if required) + 7 Day Standby Roster scheduled every 4 weeks

Join Downer's Energy & Utilities team as a Gas Crew Member. You'll help with construction, maintenance, and fault response on gas mains and services across the Adelaide network.
Core Responsibilities
* Fixing breakdowns, leaks, and completing minor construction work
* Responding to emergency jobs during and after hours
* Following all Downer, client, and safety procedures
* Working with the team to manage workload and meet deadlines
* Taking direction from Team Leaders and Supervisors
* Helping organise and install materials for field work
Emergency Response
* Assisting with Level 1-5 emergency situations
* Attending site, assessing the issue, and following emergency procedures
* Completing emergency repairs to keep gas supply safe and operational
* Participating in a rotating 24/7 on‐call roster with callouts outside normal hours
ABOUT YOU
* Previous experience working within excavation, landscaping or outdoor work, with previous Gas, Civil or utilities experience
* Experienced in the safe use of hand tools and equipment required to perform physically demanding tasks
* Strong focus on teamwork and safety
* Willingness to undertake a pre‐employment medical
* Must be clean shaven for safety reasons
Mandatory Requirements
* Construction Induction White Card
* Driver Licence (MR, HR, MC or relevant Truck Licence)
* First Aid Certificate
* Confined Space Ticket - Within the last 2 years
* GAS Testing Ticket - Within the last 2 years
* First Attack Fire Fighting
