Location: North Sydney - 2 days per week onsite

Hourly Rate: Up to $44 per hour plus super

Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm with flexible working hours available

Location: Chatswood

Start Date: ASAP

Length: Temporary position which could transition into a permanent role

Working rights: Must have full unrestricted working rights in Australia

Must Have: Working with Children Check & Police Check (or be happy to apply for one)

The Company

Lotus People are partnering with a well-established and values-driven organisation to recruit a Return-to-Work Coordinator for a temporary opportunity, which could transition into a permanent position. This purpose-led organisation delivers specialised services and support programs designed to improve the wellbeing and independence of individuals and families within the community.

THE ROLE

This role will focus on managing workplace injury claims and return to work planning, acting as the key liaison between employees, payroll and insurers. You will oversee the full lifecycle of injury management cases, ensuring they are handled proactively and in line with legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will be someone who can step into the role and quickly take ownership of cases, maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders while ensuring claims are managed efficiently and do not elevate unnecessarily.

You will be responsible for managing physical injury cases, maintaining compliance with relevant workers compensation legislation while focusing on practical and supportive return to work outcomes.

THE DUTIES

* Manage a portfolio of workplace injury claims from start to resolution
* Develop and implement return to work plans in line with legislative requirements
* Act as the key liaison between employees, insurers and payroll
* Monitor claims closely to ensure timely action and prevent escalation
* Coordinate injury management processes and support employees through recovery
* Ensure documentation and case management records are accurate and up to date
* Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and external insurers
* Work collaboratively with leadership to ensure best practice injury management
* Support compliance with workers compensation legislation and processes

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a personable and proactive Return to Work professional who can manage cases with confidence while maintaining strong relationships with employees and stakeholders.

To Succeed In This Role, You Will

* Have experience in return to work coordination, injury management or workers compensation case management
* Possess a strong understanding of workers compensation legislation and claims processes
* Have experience managing multiple injury casesBring experience from insurance, injury management or organisational return to work roles
* Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
* Be confident working independently and thinking on your feet
* Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Be open to feedback, accountable and committed to continuous improvement
* Have a supportive and empathetic approach when dealing with injured employees
* Value workplace culture and collaboration
