Schneider Electric’s Digital Buildings business is shifting the needle in the way we support our customers to maximize their energy efficiency. We have an exciting opportunity for a dual Building Management System (BMS) and Security Service Technician to be our representative in Alice Springs, NT. Willing to relocate to Alice Springs? Reporting directly to the Regional Service Manager, our Service Technicians are uniquely placed as technical partners to customers across Defence, shopping centres, commercial buildings, and a significant focus on healthcare (hospitals). Our technicians partner with customers to improve their business by driving better energy and security solutions.
Day to Day
At Schneider Electric, no two days are the same. The team typically works on installations, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, fault finding, programming and commissioning of building management and access control systems.
- Managing the breakdown and maintenance of electronic security systems & building management systems
- Supporting the installation, programming and commissioning of new and expanded electronic security systems
- Demonstrating a high knowledge of products to constantly suggest improvements to customers
- Ensuring that excellent service delivery is met and achieved within budget & time constraints
- Practicing a high degree of safety awareness to ensure safety requirements are met onsite
- Participating in on‑call duties, where you may need to work after hours (on‑call allowance and overtime payments apply where applicable)
- Experience with installation, programming, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of a range of electronic security & access control systems, building management systems, IP networking and video management systems
- Experience with various IP and analog CCTV systems (Pelco experience preferred but not required)
- Proven record of high‑quality work complemented with solid experience in troubleshooting, fault finding and effective resolutions
Qualifications
- Must have a full unrestricted Electrical License (A‑Grade)
- Must hold a current security license and driver’s licence

IT‑proficient with fault‑finding experience and knowledge of network routers, switches and network hardware.
As a motivated and confident individual, you work autonomously or as part of a team, prioritise your work and follow through to completion. With excellent communication skills, you build great relationships and are comfortable and confident in a customer‑facing role.
