About the Armidale Catholic Schools Office: The Armidale Catholic Schools Office (ACSO) serves 24 systemic schools; 19 primary, two central (K-10) and three secondary (7-12) across the New England and North West region of NSW. The ACSO supports schools in building a Catholic Professional Learning Community for almost 1,000 employees and 6,000 students.
Position Purpose: The purpose of this role is to assist leaders, teachers, and education assistants in schools to effectively support students with disability and diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote the Diocese of Armidale Core Catholic Principles and Values in all professional accountabilities.
* Consult with teachers and provide advice about relevant teaching and learning strategies.
* Advise on individual and group intervention and assist teachers with adjustments.
* Collaborate with learning support personnel in response to student needs.
* Provide professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals.
* Support compliance requirements of the student support program.
* Provide case management support and assistance to other agencies.
* Work constructively as part of the Mission and Learning Team.
* Engage in action research to support organizational directions.
* Support schools in analyzing system and school data related to diverse learning needs.
* Prepare reports on the progress of students with diverse learning needs.
* Attend to any other matters appropriate for the position.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Recognised formal qualifications in the field of education.
* Experience working in schools or with multidisciplinary teams.
* Demonstrated effective communication skills.
* Highly developed skills in the use of technology and assistive technology options.
