Graphic Designer - Marketing Assistant

The Hervey Bay RSL is one of the biggest entertainment venues on the Fraser Coast and is much loved by the 40,000 plus financial members. The club provides a variety of wonderful facilities for its members, visitors and guests. Including restaurant, cafe, 5 separate bars, child fun centre, function and meeting rooms for the general public, auditorium, bottle shop, snooker room, courtesy bus, 280 gaming machines, Keno & TAB.
We require the services of a dynamic and creative GRAPHIC DESIGNER to join our team.
The successful applicant would have at least 6 months experience with graphic designing.
We are seeking a person with an eye for detail, an outgoing personality, exceptional computer skills, and good communication skills.
The role would require the successful applicant to assist in the production of in-house posters, magazines, pre-press advertisements, menus, member's offers, club vouchers and general administration duties in liaison with our Marketing Manager.
The position can be a regular casual position or part time with a Monday to Friday roster, we are flexible.
Key Skills
* Must have sound knowledge of Corel Draw, Photoshop and Microsoft Office programs
* Design and develop creative concepts, and layouts
* Strong eye for visual composition, color and design
* Using design tools
* Image editing – manipulate and enhance photographs or illustrations
* Proofing and preparation – finalizing files for printing
* Time Management – ability to meet tight deadlines
* Must have sound knowledge of social media
* Must be a friendly and personable team member
Duties and Responsibilities
* General admin duties
* Signage and update signage as needed
o Menus
o Posters
o Flyers
* Social media
o Schedule posts, stories, and reels for upcoming and current movies, events, and general venue news across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
o Moderate and respond to comments and private messages as needed
