Overview
Driven by changes in the business, operating and regulatory environment, the Global Group Risk & Compliance function is undertaking a strengthening program aimed at uplifting risk management capability maturity. The purpose of this program role is to assist in the uplift of the Compliance Management Framework, Compliance Obligation Management & Monitoring, and in the development and roll-out of new or amended policies, across new material risk categories.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
* Assist in strengthening the compliance obligations management & monitoring capability across the organisation
* Assist in the development and roll-out of new or enhanced policy suites
* Assist in the introduction of a new third-party obligation management solution (eg Lexis/Nexis) to establish an obligations library
* Assist in establishing an enhanced obligations library by mapping risk-based controls to the obligations
* Assist the divisions/corporate functions establish new obligation registers
* Draft, review, and update risk, compliance related policies.
* Work closely with compliance, legal, and risk teams to interpret regulations.
* Manage and deliver policies which align with regulatory frameworks and internal governance.
* Support the policy consultation and approval process
* Assist in the development of assets such as SoPs, Templates to ensure effective implementation
* Support GRC system level changes to enhance operationalisation
* Support and embed training and awareness efforts on new policies.
* Work collaboratively with other BAs and other project resources
* Create and deliver risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess and resolve risks as they are encountered
* Promoting a culture of risk and compliance awareness. Ensuring compliance with all regulations, industry standards and MPMS values
Experience & Personal Attributes
* 7-10 years in compliance management, within financial services of fund administration, with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Experience with third-party compliance solution implementation, including working with vendors to establishing obligations libraries, controls and obligation registers
* Experience with policy formulation, implementation and operationalisation
* An ability to connect, engage, pivot and change while at the same time being thoughtful, considerate and respectful of others.
* Proven ability to engage, negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels including the ability to organise and coordinate others
* Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively and enjoy working in an innovative environment
