We are seeking a highly skilled and security‐minded Avionics Component Workshop Technician to support defence aviation operations in Newcastle, NSW. Your role
In this role, you will contribute directly in a defence sector by ensuring the reliability and serviceability of critical avionics systems.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electronic and avionics systems using advanced diagnostic and testing tools.
* Perform precision repairs, calibration, and functional testing of circuit boards and avionics assemblies in accordance with industry and regulatory standards.
* Maintain and service a range of avionics systems, including communication, navigation, surveillance, autopilot, and radar technologies integrated into mission‐critical aviation platforms.
* Record and maintain detailed documentation of maintenance, testing, and calibration work to meet quality assurance and compliance requirements.
Essential requirements
* Relevant years of working experience as an Avionics Technician in the defence or related sector
* Experience working on Lead‐in Fighter aircraft
* Cert IV Aeroskills (Avionics) and relevant MEAs
* Australian citizenship
* Ability to obtain and maintain NV1 Australian Defence security clearance (visit AGSVA website for more information about Security Clearances)
* AOD test prior to commencement of contract
