The Senior Storage and Distribution Associate works closely with cross-functional teams including Project Management, Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacy and external vendors to support clinical study timelines and ensure operational excellence in logistics.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to:
1. SyntroConnect:
- To act as point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for Syntro Health's digital inventory management system SyntroConnect. In doing so maintain stock entries, supply plans and shipment strategies for investigational products and study materials.
- Provide support to clients using this inventory system to ensure a consistent, reliable and compliant service.
2. Logistics Management:
- Coordinate distribution and return of investigational products and trial supplies globally.
- Manage temperature-controlled shipments and monitor cold chain logistics to ensure compliance with storage requirements.
- Assist area Manager in providing oversight for third-party logistics (3PL) providers, depots, and couriers for performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure timely dispatch and receipt of study materials and address any delivery issues proactively.
- Lead reconciliation activities for returned and unused IPs and ensure appropriate documentation for destruction or return.
3. Warehouse and Inventory Control:
- Manage temperature-sensitive products and controlled substances per regulatory requirements.
- SME level knowledge for response to temperature monitoring and excursion, power dips and security related events.
- Ensure warehouse compliance with internal quality systems, GMP standards, good housekeeping and all applicable safety standards.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with Valuable Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP), and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation for all shipments, inventory transactions, and deviations.
4. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline logistics operations, enhance tracking systems, and reduce costs.
- Actively support the growth of Syntro Health as the premium provider of clinical trial IMP services.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and logistics-related training materials.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Support the Area Manager as an alternative contact for clinical teams, suppliers, and regulatory authorities on logistics matters.
- Lead, train, and support warehouse staff to ensure safe and efficient operations. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and positive team environment.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings as required to ensure alignment between logistics and study milestones.
