About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Engineer - Geotechnical to provide expert geotechnical leadership and guidance to Havieron Underground, ensuring all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with legal requirements and company objectives, while delivering critical technical support to mining operations.
Roster: 8/6 FIFO from Perth
Key Responsibilities
* Champion a strong safety culture and ensure geotechnical risks are proactively identified, assessed, and controlled.
* Monitor excavation performance and ground support systems to maintain safe and productive mining conditions.
* Provide geotechnical input into weekly and monthly mine planning processes.
* Develop and maintain and update geotechnical models, monitoring systems, and hazard management plans.
* Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and technical reviews (including life of mine designs, vertical development and large underground excavations).
* Monitor hydrogeological data and change in ground conditions and advise on appropriate control measures.
* Investigate and report on, fall-of-ground incidents, groundwater inflows, and other geotechnical risks.
* Support operations in managing complex ground conditions and rehabilitation requirements.
* Contribute to capability development within the team.
About You
You are a technically capable underground geotechnical professional who combines strong analytical skills with practical operational experience. You demonstrate sound judgement in managing risk, communicate effectively across disciplines, and lead by example in safety and professionalism.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor\'s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or Civil Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years\' underground geotechnical engineering experience.
* Advanced working knowledge of Deswik, Rocscience Suite
* Demonstrated experience in underground ground support design, hazard management, and operational support.
About the Havieron Project
Havieron is a world-class gold-copper development project located 45km east of Telfer in the Paterson Province. Owned 100% by Greatland, Havieron has a multi-decade mine life and will utilise Telfer\'s existing processing infrastructure. The project is supported by a significant regional exploration portfolio surrounding Telfer.
