As a Principal Software Engineer (Front-End), your key responsibilities will include:
* Architecting and building scalable frontend applications to enhance user experiences.
* Writing clean code, conducting code reviews, producing documentation, and leading the charge in solving complex technical challenges.
* Developing reusable frameworks, patterns, and components that accelerate product development.
* Championing high standards for code and platform health through automated regression, performance, and resiliency testing.
* Driving operational excellence by instrumenting observability, creating run books, and contributing to incident response and resolution.
* Leading technical discussions and architectural sparring sessions, driving the best technical outcome within time and budget constraints.
* Contributing to strategic technical decisions and championing the adoption of best practices and new technologies.
* Proactively identifying opportunities to improve our software engineering practices.
* Fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across product, design, and engineering.
* Mentoring less experienced engineers in best practice.
* Helping grow the engineering team through interviews and code reviews.
We're seeking individuals with 8+ years of experience designing, building, deploying, and scaling web applications. Key qualifications include:
* A customer-first approach to innovation in user experiences.
* Demonstrated technical initiative and a penchant for clean code.
* Extensive knowledge of cloud architecture principles, modern frontend architectural patterns, and frameworks such as Vue.js.
* Fluency in TypeScript/Javascript and strong experience with Node.js, CI/CD platforms, AWS, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and observability tools like Elastic.
* Experience working with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
