About the Role As the PA, you’ll provide vital administrative and personal support to a busy cardiologist across both clinical and professional domains. This is a varied, fast-paced role that requires initiative, discretion, and a genuine interest in patient care and medical excellence. Key Responsibilities Managing the cardiologist’s diary, including scheduling consultations, procedures, and meetings Handling all incoming calls and emails with a professional and empathetic manner Greeting patients, managing check-ins, and preparing consultation rooms Coordinating hospital bookings, surgical lists, and liaising with hospital staff Processing patient referrals and obtaining previous medical records as needed Preparing patient documentation, consent forms, and billing (Medicare, private health) Handling health fund checks and informed financial consent discussions Managing waiting lists and follow-up appointments Preparing reports for referring doctors and ensuring correspondence is sent promptly General administrative duties including scanning, filing, and database management Organising travel, conference registrations, and personal appointments for the cardiologist Upholding patient confidentiality and professional standards at all times About You Previous experience as a PA, medical secretary, or practice manager (ideally within a specialist setting) Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills Confident using medical software and MS Office Suite Calm under pressure, able to anticipate needs and work autonomously Professional, reliable, and genuinely interested in supporting healthcare Why This Role?
