Enterprise Upgrade Ownership Lead – CRM Specialist (Configure, Migrate, Implement)
A 3‐month contract (potential extension) for a full‐scale on‐prem Dynamics CRM upgrade to D365 v9.0, with real architectural influence and focus on IFD, ADFS, and complex integration migrations in a mission‐critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead migration of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 (IFD deployment) to Dynamics 365 v9.0 on‐premises
* Plan and deliver upgrade of legacy CRM environments following initial migration success
* Analyse existing customisations, plugins, workflows, and integrations
* Develop and execute migration strategies with minimal business disruption
* Conduct pre‐migration assessments, data validation, and post‐migration testing
* Install, configure, and deploy Dynamics CRM/365 solutions
* Design and implement CRM customisations including entities, forms, workflows, plugins, and business process flows
* Troubleshoot technical issues and provide production support
* Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams on architecture and deployment requirements
Key Skills & Experience
* 5+ years hands‐on experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM (2013–2016) and Dynamics 365
* Proven experience delivering on‐premises CRM upgrades and migrations
* Strong experience with Internet Facing Deployment (IFD) and claims‐based authentication (essential)
* Experience with ADFS integration and external authentication models
* Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 v9.0 architecture and Unified Interface
* CRM customisation expertise (entities, forms, workflows, business rules, JavaScript)
* Plugin development using C# and CRM SDK
* Experience with CRM SDK, Web API, and integration patterns
* Exposure to Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
* Understanding of CRM integrations (API and database‐level)
* Working knowledge of SQL Server concepts
* Familiarity with Windows Server, IIS, and Active Directory environments
