The Role
The Business Support Officer is responsible for providing a high-level support service and efficient and effective operational management of functions within the Minister's Office.
You Will Hold The Following Responsibilities
* Deliver a comprehensive administrative and business support service to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Minister's Office.
* Producing correspondence reports that measure the effectiveness of correspondence processes and the efficiency of the Minister's Office
* Work closely with all staff within the Minister's Office, build key relationships with a range of stakeholders including departmental counterparts in portfolio support agencies, and other Minister's Offices.
* Providing advice and guidance to departments, agencies and other Ministerial offices on relevant verbal or written requests for information by liaising with and obtaining appropriate briefings from relevant Departmental officers.
About You
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
* Sound knowledge of administrative policies, procedures, instructions, methods and processes of Government.
* Sound experience in providing a range of administrative and business support services, including managing correspondence.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written that enable effective and appropriate communication with a broad range of people at all levels.
* Proven ability to exercise discretion, integrity, tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive and/or political issues and maintain complete confidentiality.
Special Conditions
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration
ASO3 – $67,589 min – $72,033 max.
