Working on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, the role uses a strength‑based and culturally safe approach to provide case management, crisis support, advocacy and connection to housing pathways. You will build trusting relationships with community members, walking alongside them as they navigate housing challenges and contribute to local initiatives such as Homeshare. Your cultural knowledge, lived experience and community connections are central to shaping safe, accessible and effective housing supports for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and the wider community across the Mount Alexander Shire. About you You are a compassionate and community-focused professional with experience in housing, case management or community services, and a strong commitment to supporting people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. You bring a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities, and apply a culturally safe, strengths-based approach to build trust and meaningful relationships. You are confident responding to complex and crisis situations, while supporting longer-term pathways to stable housing and wellbeing. A strong communicator and collaborator, you work effectively with community members, Elders and partner organisations, and are committed to advocacy, social justice and continuous learning. Organised and adaptable, you manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality, person-centred support.
