We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.Unique opportunity for a Grade 2 Senior Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy Department as part of our Oncology and Renal Services.Full time at 80 hrs per f/n with monthly ADOs and 5 weeks annual leaveGrade Two Physiotherapist (Oncology and Renal), Classification VB1-VB4Based at Alfred SiteCommencing July 2025Contribution to weekend service required, flexible hours available upon negotiationDepartment SummaryAlfred Health’s Physiotherapy Department provides acute physiotherapy services to the patients of The Alfred and Sandringham Hospital and subacute physiotherapy services to Caulfield Hospital.The acute physiotherapy service is organised into five functional streams: Intensive Care, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, PAN (Progressive Illness, Aged Care and Neurosciences), and Sandringham. The first four streams are located at The Alfred site, with the latter being based at the Sandringham site. The physiotherapy service provides acute clinical services and expertise in areas such as intensive care, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, orthopaedics, trauma, burns, lung transplantation, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary rehabilitation, neurology, neurosurgery, infectious diseases, haematology/oncology, general medicine, haemophilia, and emergency.The physiotherapy service at Caulfield Hospital offers inpatient and ambulatory services in rehabilitation, aged care, and residential care. It provides subacute clinical services in neurology, spinal cord injury, orthopaedics, amputees, burns, pain management, cardiac rehab, aged care, transitional care, and aged psychiatry. The department is organized into streams: Neurological Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Health of Older Persons, and ABI.The department employs over 170 staff across more than 100 EFTs, with a history of clinical and academic excellence. It is committed to physiotherapy research and education, partnering with La Trobe and Monash Universities to provide clinical placements for students.Position SummaryThe Grade 2 Physiotherapist (Oncology & Renal) will develop and deliver physiotherapy services to Oncology Units, in collaboration with senior clinicians and stream leaders.
