We are committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment for all staff, subcontractors, and stakeholders, in line with industry best practices and legislative obligations.Role Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Officer to oversee work health and safety (WHS) practices across our construction sites.
This role is critical in identifying hazards, reducing risks, and promoting a culture of safety and compliance in line with occupational health and safety laws and regulations.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and review WHS policies and procedures in accordance with relevant legislationConduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actionsDeliver WHS inductions and ongoing training to employees and contractorsMonitor compliance with safe work practices and maintain records of incidents, near-misses, and safety auditsInvestigate workplace incidents and assist in the development of mitigation and prevention strategiesLiaise with site managers, project supervisors, and external consultants to promote safety awarenessPrepare and submit reports on WHS performance and improvement initiativesEnsure PPE is available and correctly used across all work areasRequired Skills and Qualifications:Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in a similar WHS role, preferably in the construction industryStrong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and risk management systemsExcellent communication skills and ability to engage with workers at all levelsProficient in Microsoft Office and WHS documentation systemsConstruction Induction (White Card) is mandatoryCertification in incident investigation and/or internal auditing (desirable)What We Offer:Competitive salary (AUD $85,000 – $95,000)A proactive safety culture and support from senior managementOpportunities for ongoing training and career advancementInvolvement in diverse and high-impact projects across NSWHow to Apply:Please send your resume and a short cover letter outlining your WHS experience - Apply Here.Take the next step in your health and safety career with AAAK Projects, where your work will have a direct impact on the wellbeing of our teams and the success of our builds.
