About the role
CAV'ART Designer Stone is seeking a highly organised and experienced Stone Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Bankstown, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient day to day operations of our natural stone warehouse
What you'll be doing
1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of the stone warehouse to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing stone materials
2. Operate and manage material handling equipment including overhead gantry cranes, forklift, jib attachments and slab clamps to handle natural stone slabs
3. Managing inventory levels and implementing effective stock control measures
4. Facilitating the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and storage of stone materials
5. Receiving and unloading containers, checking incoming stone slabs against orders, tagging new inventory
6. Assisting sales staff and clients with natural stone selections and slab viewings
7. Monitoring and reporting on warehouse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
8. Liaising with the sales team to ensure the seamless flow of materials and the timely delivery of orders
9. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
10. Ensuring a clean and safe work environment
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience (3+ years) in a supervisory role within a warehouse or manufacturing environment, preferably in the stone industry or building materials
2. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Proficient in using warehouse management systems
5. Valid forklift licence and knowledge of safe material handling practices
6. Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
