* Ongoing Clerk Grade 9/10 ($129,464 - $142,665 per annum) opportunity, based in Martin Place, Sydney

About the Role
You will join our Governance team within the Legal branch in the Office of General Counsel group.
As the Senior Advisor, Governance, you will lead and coordinate the delivery of governance operations, policy and project work, supporting corporate governance, risk and internal audit activities. You will provide high‐level advice, coordinate complex governance initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of governance frameworks, systems and practices.
Working closely with stakeholders across government, you will manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment, lead complex project and stakeholder coordination activities, and support effective governance and decision‐making across the department. This role offers the opportunity to apply and further develop strategic governance expertise at the centre of NSW Government.

We're Looking For

* Governance and Project Delivery: Experience leading or delivering governance, policy, project or program work within a complex environment, including coordinating initiatives, managing competing priorities and supporting governance outcomes
* Strategic Advice and Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality briefs, reports and advice for senior stakeholders across government
* Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders, working collaboratively to progress initiatives and achieve outcomes
* Planning and Coordination: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate activities and respond effectively in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
* Governance and Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated ability to contribute to or lead improvements to governance frameworks, systems and processes, ensuring compliance with legislative, policy and reporting requirements
