Sunshine Medical Centre & Family Practice is seeking a Practice Manager to join our amazing team of supportive healthcare professionals who care about each other as much as they care about patients. A full Time or part time position is available.

Sunshine Medical Centre & Family Practice has been providing quality General Practice to the Busselton community for 18 years. We have watched the area grow from a beach side holiday destination to a vibrant, ever-growing city in the Southwest. Our clinics offer comprehensive General Practice services as well as Allied health services, and we are committed to providing the highest standard of care to our patients.
Skills and Knowledge
• Medical management experience, preferably in a General Practice.
• Candidates must have current Australian work authorisation.
• Experience using Best Practice software or similar.
• Proven success in leading and engaging a multidisciplinary team.
• A positive and professional attitude with a desire to make a difference in the lives of our patients.
• Ability to manage day-to-day operations, manage the team, demonstrate adaptability and have multitasking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Accreditation experience is desirable.
• Minimum 2+ years of medical management experience is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams of 5 or more staff members.
• Experience using accounting software Xero is beneficial.
Key Role, Financial & People management
• Supportive role to doctors, nurses, and administrative staff.
• Manage GP, Allied Health, Registrar, Nurse and Admin rosters.
• Oversee phone systems, website management and appointment booking platforms such as Health Engine.
• Oversee systems access, Best Practice configuration, and process improvements, implementing projects.
• Provide leadership to practice staff, maintain human resources systems, coordinate recruitment and staff development, performance reviews, onboarding, and conflict resolution
• Manage payroll with support of bookkeeper, employee contracts and compliance.
• Oversee financial operations including financial analysis, expenditure control, management reporting, and grant/health program management.
• Advise bookkeepers on payments for SIP, PIP, WIP, GPTP, Registrars and medical students.
• Manage vendor relationships, including purchasing, reviewing, and approving invoices.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve the practice's vision and goals.
• Provide solution-focused management of clinic operations and resolve practice queries.
