Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated early-career Commercial Analyst to join our growing team and support business development and financial modelling efforts during a critical commercialisation phase. Working closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff, and BD Manager, this role will help enhance financial modelling in preparation for Kite Magnetics’ Series A investment round and contribute to market-facing pricing strategy and customer engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for a recent graduate (within 3 years) of a finance, commerce, or economics degree who is passionate about innovation, comfortable with data and modelling, and eager to grow with a high-impact Australian manufacturing startup. Targeting Commencement Before September 30th Reporting to: Chief of Staff Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Modelling & Strategy Support Assist in refining the company’s financial model and supporting data for Series A investment readiness. Support pricing strategy development by modelling cost structures and customer ROI scenarios. Help analyse unit economics and performance metrics across different manufacturing and licensing models. Prepare data and analysis for investor updates, presentations, and due diligence. 2. Business Development Support Conduct market research and support opportunity qualification in target sectors (e.g. transport, defence, renewables). Help prepare and refine pitch materials, including customer-specific commercial proposals. Track and update sales pipeline data in collaboration with the BD Manager. Assist in planning and follow-up for industry events, customer calls, and product demonstrations. 3. Cross-Functional Analysis and Coordination Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and BD teams to gather inputs for business modelling. Liaise with external stakeholders including investors, advisors, and research partners as needed. Contribute to internal dashboards and KPI reporting. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field (completed within the past 3 years). Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel or financial modelling tools. Demonstrated interest in commercialising technology or supporting early-stage ventures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organisation.
