They are looking for a Spare Parts & Purchasing Assistant to join their state head office in team in Thomastown. You will be responsible for providing purchasing support to the Purchasing Assistant and other team members within the Maintenance/Service Department. Responsibilities include: 
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure an adequate supply for service jobs. 
Raise purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner. 
Track and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. 
Coordinate with the service team to understand their needs and provide necessary spare parts. 
Conduct stock reconciliations to maintain accurate inventory records. 
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers. 
Assist customers with spare parts inquiries. 
Keep systems updated with current information. 
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to initiatives. 
Skills and Experience Required: 
Excellent communication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and resolve issues. 
Ability to read and interpret product schematics/parts files (desirable). 
Strong team player with a commitment to the team's success. 
Willingness to learn and meticulous attention to detail. 
PC proficiency, including ERP, and Microsoft suite. 
Prior purchasing experience in a technical environment is highly valued. 
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, prioritising tasks efficiently. 
Desire to work in a supportive, collaborative, and enjoyable team setting.
