JML Plumbing & Roofing is seeking an experienced Onsite Roofing technician / team leader to lead our roofing team and oversee daily operations across residential and commercial projects.
This role is ideal for a motivated roofing professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, strong leadership, and delivering projects safely and on schedule.
About the Role
As the Onsite Roofing technician, you will coordinate roofing crews, manage site operations, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects running efficiently while supporting and mentoring the team. From quoting onsite and in the office for small residential clients to large business clients providing customer service and leadership across the roofing division.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead roofing teams on residential and commercial sites
Coordinate job scheduling, materials, and site logistics
Ensure all work meets safety requirements and building regulations
Maintain high quality control across installations, repairs, and restorations
Conduct roof inspections and assessments when required
Communicate with clients, contractors, and internal staff
Identify and resolve site issues to keep projects on schedule
Support training and mentoring of roofing staff
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in roofing, roof tiling, or roof plumbing
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of roofing systems, repairs, and restorations
Comfortable working at heights
White Card (Construction Induction)
Silica and Asbestos Awareness training preferred
Strong communication and organisational skills
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
