Position Description:
This university are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Psychologist to join them as a Clinical Educator to make a real and positive difference to the education of their students and the future of regional healthcare in Queensland. You will support effective, high quality, rural training experiences for psychology students on placement in the SQRH Health and Wellness Clinic (HaWC). You will be responsible for the clinical education, direct supervision and facilitation of interprofessional learning opportunities of students, as well as collaboration with healthcare providers, supervisors and a broad range of stakeholders to build student placement capacity and quality. This is a clinical academic role offering a unique and rewarding opportunity to develop your clinical teaching and clinical research and a chance to participate in service and engagement activities within the university and wider professional community. This is a part-time, fixed-term position through to 31 December 2024. The part-time equivalent is 0.4 FTE / 2 days a week, with the clinic operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. At Academic Level B, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $104,579- $124,187, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $122,358 - $145,299 annually. Qualifications & Experience:
1. Possession of a tertiary degree in Psychology and broad clinical experience as a Psychologist, with at least 3 years of recent practice experience.
2. Demonstrated experience in clinical education of psychology students.
3. Sound knowledge of interprofessional education, collaboration and practice or the willingness and ability to rapidly acquire and use this knowledge.
4. High level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and work consultatively.
5. Ability to work both independently with high levels of initiative and collaboratively with colleagues.
6. Commitment to research activities and a willingness to participate in rural health research.
7. An ability to establish relationships and to represent and promote academic discipline at a university and wider community level, including industry, government and professional bodies.
8. Willingness to travel, where required.
9. Work Rights: must have unrestricted work rights in Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
10. It is a condition of employment for this role to provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.
11. It is a requirement of this position that the incumbent holds and maintains (or demonstrates eligibility to do so) full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist.
12. It is a requirement of this position that the incumbent holds and maintains full registration as a Psychologist and accreditation as a Board Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
