We are currently seeking a Perth Airport Duty Manager to lead our airport operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. About the Role The Perth Airport Duty Manager oversees day-to-day airport operations, ensuring smooth, safe, and compliant service delivery at the highest standard. This is a dynamic role that combines leadership, operational oversight, stakeholder engagement, and a strong focus on customer experience. Work is required in accordance with a 7-day rotating roster, and flexibility is required to work shifts as needed to meet operational demands. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Deliver exceptional service to all Airnorth customers. Lead and support ground handling teams, ensuring adherence to Airnorth’s policies and procedures. Uphold and promote Airnorth’s Vision and Values in all interactions. Operational Oversight Manage day-to-day Perth Airport operations, ensuring safety, security, and compliance. Act as the primary point of contact for all Perth-based operational activities. Collaborate with ground handlers, clients, and service providers to resolve issues promptly. Monitor and improve operational performance, including passenger facilitation and service standards. Asset Management Oversee the maintenance and safety checks of all Airnorth-owned assets at Perth Airport. Ensure both routine and non-routine maintenance is conducted efficiently and cost-effectively. Maintain accurate equipment registers. Financial Administration Manage procurement processes, including verifying and submitting purchase orders. Ensure timely financial processing to meet end-of-month deadlines. Assist with budget planning and cost control. Manage airport and administrative stock levels. Stakeholder Engagement Represent Airnorth at PAPL and AOC meetings. Build and maintain strong relationships with key Perth Airport stakeholders. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with all Airnorth policies and aviation regulations. Maintain operational records and produce required reports. Investigate complaints and incidents, providing timely resolution and recommendations. Safety Management Participate actively in Airnorth’s Safety Management System (SMS). Conduct risk assessments and assist in identifying and addressing safety concerns. Investigate safety reports and ensure timely closure of AIRS and AUDIT actions. Liaise with the GOM on safety and WHS matters. Training & Development Conduct annual performance reviews and support employee development. Identify and facilitate training needs in partnership with the Training and Standards team Essential Qualifications & Skills Minimum 2 years’ experience in airport operations or a similar role. Proven leadership experience; Cert IV in Leadership & Management (desirable). Strong communication skills—both written and verbal. Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service. Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities. Solid understanding of airport operations, including check-in systems (Amadeus Altea CM preferred). Knowledge of regulatory and legislative aviation requirements. Experience with financial processes, cost control, and stock management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
