About the client:
The client is a leading diversified agri-food company based in Western Australia. The company operates across the entire food production supply chain, with a strong focus on sustainability, animal welfare, and premium quality.
Main Duties:
- Must have good to excellent fitting skills.
- Must have machining skills (milling, turning etc).
- Must be able to fabricate and weld both mild steel and stainless steel using TIG/MIG/MMA to a good standard.
- Adhere to daily, weekly, monthly planned worked orders as per Mex system
- Maintain integrity on HB plant and sites electrical installations and equipment
- Must work towards ensuring 100% plant availability on a daily basis
- Attend to breakdowns during production foir speedy resolution.
- Commitment towards HB and all employees of HB
- Assist with repairs, upgrades and projects as required
- Troubleshooting equipment related process problems and equipment failures to determine cause and to investigate repairs.
- Drive ongoing and preventative maintenance programmes.
- Maintain accurate data for analysis on equipment.
- Support Engineering and Production personnel on continuous improvements and monitor equipment in order to recommend process improvements.
- To determine & allocate resources to ensure that projects are completed efficiently within pre-determined timescales.
- Testing of equipment under the supervision of the Project Engineers and recording equipment data.
- Ensure that the workshop is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
- Ensure that the Team's tools and equipment are maintained in a clean, complete and safe condition.
- Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together;
- Check tightness of joints and operation of moving parts, and modify parts to make final adjustments if the fit is not perfect;
- Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Clean and lubricate assembled articles;
- Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment;
- Erect/build machinery and equipment on site;
- Inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs needed by removing any worn or damaged parts to install replacements, by sending a damaged part to the machine shop for repair or by doing the repair work themselves.
Hourly rate: $45/hour - $50/hour + shift allowance
The roster is a 7-day fortnight, working 42 hours per week across 12-hour day and night shifts.
