This is a casual position, where you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations- providing Chefs and the Front of House team with equipment to ensure a seamless experience for our guests. We are looking for people available to work a range of shifts including, days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Reporting to the Chief Steward you will be responsible for….
• Undertaking general kitchen duties such as washing crockery, utensils, pots & pans etc with the use of our commercial dishwashers, maintaining the cleanliness of the Kitchen & Back of House environments, mopping, scrubbing, removal of kitchen waste & recycling, whilst completing daily cleaning checklists
• This role will require you to carry, lift and push items such as plates, trolleys, garbage bins as well as handling chemicals and cleaning detergents
• You will also operate other equipment such as the garbage & cardboard compactors
• At times you may handle food products within the kitchen or assist the loading dock with the receival and storage of incoming deliveries
• Ensuring compliance with all food safety & hygiene standardsSkills & Experience:
• Ability to work autonomously & under direction
• Ability to manage time & work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, ensuring excellent service and effective teamwork
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Motivated, self-driven who thrives in a dynamic environment
• Availability to work a flexible roster across 7 days including days, late nights & Public Holidays
• You will need your own transport as we are not on a public transport route
• Must have the legal right to work in Australia
