The Opportunity
The Legal Assistant role is a pivotal position within the Claims Division at Aussie Injury Lawyers (AIL), responsible for providing legal support to the Claims team, focusing on the management and progression of superannuation claims, including Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) claims.
This role requires technical legal expertise and a high level of attention to detail, with duties ranging from legal research, drafting legal documents, liaising with clients and assisting in preparing claims for finalisation.
About You
* Assist the Solicitor in managing and progressing superannuation claims and litigated claims through the legal process.
* Prepare correspondence and legal documents in consultation with work authors, including letters, briefs, and disclosure materials.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic case files from instruction to closure, in line with legal procedures and firm standards.
* Support the wider claims team with the timely preparation and delivery of matter‑specific documents.
* Be confident in liaising with insurers, super funds, medical providers, and internal stakeholders.
* Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and supportive way.
* Having knowledge of the superannuation and insurance industry is beneficial, but we're happy to train the right person.
