Job Title: Women's Assessment Service Midwifery Unit Manager
The Women's and Children's Health Network seeks a skilled Nurse/Midwife to lead patient care delivery in the Women's and Babies Division.
This key role involves coordinating healthcare services, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
* Using clinical expertise to deliver effective patient care coordination
* Leading nursing/midwifery and multidisciplinary team activities
* Achieving accountability for nursing/midwifery practices and multidisciplinary outcomes
* Addressing practice-policy inconsistencies to align with best practices
* Enhancing team performance and fostering a positive work culture
Required qualifications include registration as a midwife or nurse/midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with at least 3 years post-graduation experience or currently classified as a Clinical Midwife or Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
Desirable skills and attributes include effective leadership, communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and review and improve models of care.
