About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Plumbers to join our Ahrens Newman team with multiple positions available.

In this role, you will be responsible for issuing regulatory documentation, ensuring compliance with standards, and overseeing plumbing works to meet safety and quality requirements. The role involves ordering materials cost-effectively, maintaining inventory, and coordinating work schedules to align with project timelines. You will install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings while staying updated on industry advancements. Additionally, the role requires liaising with clients, contractors, and other trades, maintaining equipment and workspaces, and ensuring adherence to occupational health and safety policies. Strong problem-solving skills and professionalism are essential.

This position is offered on an 8/6 roster schedule.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and issue documentation for plumbing approvals and regulatory compliance.
* Ensure all plumbing work meets industry standards and compliance requirements.
* Adhere to and support the implementation of OH&S policies, working with management to improve safety systems.
* Manage material orders efficiently, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery to maintain project flow.
* Maintain adequate inventory levels to support both maintenance and project work.
* Participate in meetings to coordinate plumbing schedules and align with other trades.
* Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential buildings.
* Stay up to date with industry advancements and best practices.
* Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working order and uphold a professional appearance.
* Efficiently allocate plumbing resources to meet project deadlines and demands.
* Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
* Operate all licensed machinery and equipment safely and professionally.
* Maintain clean and organized worksites, demonstrating initiative in daily duties.
* Use various hand tools effectively for a range of plumbing tasks.

Skills and Experience

* Proficient in maintenance, plumbing and gas fitting in residential, commercial and industrial environments.
* Current Plumbers License with WA Plumbers Licensing Board.
* WA Energy Safety Gas Fitting Permit Class G (Unrestricted)
* Good mechanical aptitude
* Sound understanding of the general building and/or landscaping industry
* Previous experience working in remote mining operations
* Must hold current WA drivers licence
* Must hold current white card for work within the construction industry
