Senior SQL DBA- 12 month contract- Major Bank
A major bank is seeking a Senior SQL DBA to join their team on an initial 12 month contract. 2 days a week in the office.
This is a Level 3 / consulting role.
A deep understanding of the Microsoft Technology stack is required to deliver the banks SQL-server Database Platform Service.
Responsibilities
* Senior DBA required to interface with the end-user community and upper management.
* Participate in enterprise-level critical systems operational support, SQL projects and consultancy to provide database solutions and services to the business, application, and peer technical teams.
* Configuration and administration of SQL server components (SSDB, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
* Database Service performance reporting.
* Provide advanced database support and mentoring to Level-1/2 DBAs.
* Database Scripting and Automation.
* After hour on-call support on major incidents.
Key Skills / Experience
* Demonstrable advanced experiences with MSSQL2008/2012/2014/2016/2019/2022
* Enterprise level L3 support in large complex environments
* Thorough hands-on experience with High Availability deployment of SSDB, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and ongoing performance optimisation
* Extensive experience in Troubleshooting, Problem solving, and Process SimplificationAutomation using DevOps tools (e.g., bitbucket, terraform etc)Power BIFinancial Services
