Key Job Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service standards, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all guests.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative food experiences that showcase local ingredients and connection-to-country cuisine.
* Work closely with the Head Guide to create and refine guided experiences that deepen guests' connection to the environment and promote sustainable tourism practices.
* Optimize operational efficiency through effective cost management, customer loyalty programs, and efficient budget allocation.
* Provide strong leadership through coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews to foster growth, team engagement, and a positive work environment.
* Manage a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with organizational values while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
* Ensure guest and staff safety through robust procedures, risk management, and emergency preparedness plans.
* Communicate effectively with staff and guests through regular meetings, feedback sessions, and open channels of communication.
* Maintain lodge facilities and equipment to ensure high standards of operation, presentation, and cleanliness.
* Represent the organization as the face of the property, engaging in activities and hosting events to ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty.
* Complete on-call manager duties for guest requests, staff needs, or emergencies, providing timely and effective support.
* Oversee conservation projects at Arkaba in conjunction with the Conservation officer and wider team, promoting environmental sustainability and community engagement.
