Townsville Logistics (TL) is a dynamic and evolving company, providing transport and logistics services, primarily loading, movement and unloading of materials, within the mining and refinery industry and associated mobile maintenance.
Townsville Marine Logistics (TML) is a customer-focused stevedoring and logistics provider with clients in mining and port operations. TML is a niche operator, handling multiple cargoes from containers to bulk and break bulk, and freight forwarding with a fresh approach to operations.

About the position
Due to the continued growth of the business, this unique role presents itself in a fast paced, dynamic environment that continues to thrive. Reporting to the Superintendent - Finance, you will be responsible for leading and assisting a small team in meeting its reporting and planning requirements which include but not limited to:
1. Oversight and management of end-to-end accounting activities.
2. Prepare and review monthly financial and management accounts ensuring correct application of the International Financial Reporting Standards
3. Prepare and review annual statutory reporting.
4. Responsible for the development of financial plans and budgets.
5. Responsible for the preparation of monthly cashflow and financial forecasts.
6. Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support business decisions.
7. Assist in the preparation of tendering models and analysis.
8. Actively promote our values, including high safety and environmental performance
9. Provide effective leadership and development of team members.
Skills And Experiences
About you
10. Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA)or Chartered Management Accountant (CMA), ideally with experience in logistics or stevedoring
11. Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar financial support role.
12. Experience in leading a high performing team.
13. Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
14. Strong planning and organisational skills
15. Motivated to continually improve processes.
