**About the Role**
This role is vital to the maintenance and upkeep of departmental schools.
To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to work effectively with others.
You will perform a range of tasks relating to the routine maintenance and upkeep of a Departmental School/grounds. The role may assist with the set up and removal of furniture and equipment for school activities. You will identify and report maintenance and safety issues. You will receive, store and distribute supplies and monitor equipment and report faults.

Porters Creek Public School, which opened in 2022, is a lively and welcoming place for learning, located on large grounds with extensive, well-presented gardens and a strong focus on taking care of the environment. We plan to have a market garden and chickens in the future to give our students hands-on learning experiences and to encourage sustainability. Currently, we have 306 students, expected to grow to 460 in the short term, to reach 1,000 students in the next 5-10 years. Our modern facilities support different learning styles and provide students with access to the latest technology.
As a busy school, we work hard to build strong connections with our students, families, and the community. We collaborate closely with community partners and various contractors, and we are proud to be part of the Ngara AECG.
