IT Sourcing Specialist (12‐month contract)

The Opportunity
Our Commercial & Procurement team is looking for an IT Sourcing Specialist in our Finance IT team based in Port Kembla NSW, Sydney NSW, or Mount Waverley VIC, with flexible working arrangements available. This is a 12‐month fixed‐term role while a team member takes on an internal secondment.
The role involves delivering cost savings and value through innovative procurement, vendor management and strategic sourcing practices. Reporting to the IT Commercial Manager, you'll proactively manage IT vendors to improve performance and deliver value to operations.
What You'll Do
* Collaborate with internal customers to support strategies, operational plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Assist and lead tenders and sourcing projects, analysing proposals, validating assumptions and providing recommendations.
* Drive contract performance by building strategic partnerships with vendors to improve productivity and processes.
* Lead contract negotiations and implement contracts for allocated mid‐tier vendors.
About You
* Clear, influential communication and collaborative, adaptable mindset.
* Tertiary qualification and ability to work independently, take initiative and lead change.
* Experience in sourcing, managing vendor relationships and developing contracts within ICT and professional services.
* Proficiency using SAP and/or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
