Senior Pastry Chef Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pastry Chef to lead our pastry section and deliver consistently high-quality desserts.
* As Senior Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and refining dessert menus in collaboration with the Head Chef, bringing seasonality, creativity, and balance to our menu offerings.
* You will maintain impeccable standards in presentation, taste, and technique, ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen is of the highest quality.
* In addition to your culinary expertise, you will oversee the full pastry mise en place and production schedule, ensuring efficiency and minimal waste.
* You will also manage stock levels and ordering for pastry ingredients, working within budget to ensure we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand.
* A key aspect of this role is maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards in the pastry area, ensuring that our customers receive safe and healthy food.
* As a senior team member, you will mentor and train junior team members, sharing your knowledge and inspiring growth within the team.
* Collaboration with the wider kitchen team is essential to ensure seamless service and a unified culinary offering.
Requirements
* You must have experience in a senior pastry role within high-end or high-volume kitchens, with a deep understanding of classic techniques and a passion for modern flavours and presentation.
* Confidence in leading a pastry section independently and managing day-to-day operations is essential.
* You must be detail-oriented, organized, and thrive under pressure, able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Strong knowledge of food safety, allergen awareness, and kitchen best practices is required.
