The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join the External Reporting team on a permanent basis. Working as part of a close-knit team responsible for managing the Group consolidation, you will play an active role in driving continuous improvement of end-to-end processes, and ensure key transactions are correctly captured whilst maintaining integrity and confidence in the numbers. The role offers exposure to a breadth of accounting transactions and issues, and the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams across the business.
The role is calling astute candidates with good accounting and process skills, who enjoy collaborating with multiple teams and managing end-to-end outcomes.
What you'll do
* Month-end consolidation of the Group result
* Provide ongoing support for OneStream account hierarchy mapping and ownership structures
* Support the Group\'s half-year and full-year end process, including the preparation of financial statement analysis
* Accounting for equity, investments and other key transactions
* Act as a key contributor in driving continuous improvement in the external reporting end to end processes, and implementation of new accounting standards
* Management of key stakeholders within Finance Shared Services, Corporate Finance, Planning, Treasury and Business Unit finance teams
* Preparation of reconciliations and other governance processes
What you'll bring
* Relevant financial/accounting degree and professional qualifications CA/CPA (or working towards)
* Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or large ASX listed business
* Good technical accounting skills & experience including familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards and ability to interpret accounting and reporting requirements
* Ability to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience; strong presentation and storyboarding skills
* Ability to synthesise large amounts of data from a variety of sources
* Proactive communicator with a growth mindset and the ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships effectively.
