The Teacher Aide - Hospitality assists the Program Leader - Hospitality as well as teaching staff to ensure the quality delivery of the Hospitality Program by supporting teachers in the preparation and conduct of practical lessons and maintaining teaching and kitchen facilities.
The Teacher Aide - Hospitality may be required to work in various kitchens and workplaces within the College and will also perform administrative and cleaning duties as required.

About you
To be considered for this role you will need:
Valid working rights within Australia.
Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition.
Possess a current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card for paid employees before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government.
Provide First Aid Certificate and Provide CPR Certificate (desirable).
Previous experience in a similar role, providing support to teachers in a classroom setting, whilst displaying respect, patience and empathy for students.
Demonstrated experience with food handling and food storage.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
Sound knowledge of food allergens, food intolerances and hazardous chemical management in a hospitality setting.
Excellent administrative and accurate data entry skills including demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs and information management systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to interact positively with a wide range of stakeholders including, students, staff, and the wider community.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan ahead and prioritise in order to meet competing deadlines.
Ability to work autonomously, as well as contribute towards a team environment.
