Medical Administration Officer
We are seeking an experienced Medical Administration Officer to join our team at our radiation oncology cancer treatment centre within Epworth Geelong Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administration, secretarial and reception support for the radiation oncology unit.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcoming patients, collecting and entering personal details
* Scheduling appointments
* Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
* Entering and processing patient billing
* Maintaining and managing patient information
* SUPPORTING ICON'S WHS OFFICERS AND COMMITTEES TO EFFECTIVELY CARRY OUT THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Modelling and promoting Icon's vision and values.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within specialist consulting rooms, administration experience within hospital or day hospital settings, or clinic/practice administration roles. If you have exposure in any of these spaces or similar, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role:
This is a permanent, part-time role providing administration, secretarial and reception support for the radiation oncology unit. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate appointments are booked, patients are billed correctly, and paperwork processed accurately and in a timely fashion. This role will report to the Administration Manager, working 4 weekday shifts within our standard daytime business hours.
