With over 400 people and five development labs spread across Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom, Objective is a leading developer of SaaS solutions for the government.The roleThe Test Analyst is responsible for ensuring software quality by analysing requirements, designing and executing test cases, and identifying defects.
They collaborate with stakeholders, perform manual and automated testing, document results, and report defects, ensuring the software meets business and technical specifications.
The Test Analyst reports to the Development Manager and has no people management responsibilities.Your day in the roleDefine and prioritise application requirements for testing and verificationDevelop and maintain traceability documentation and test effort estimatesDesign and execute high-quality test plans (functional, non-functional, automated, and manual)Prepare test datasets and analyse test results, diagnosing and documenting defectsManage defects in an issue tracking system with full traceability to requirementsMaintain integrity of the test environment, including provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and rollbacksParticipate in customer and internal workshops, providing testing expertise and supportTrack and report on testing progress against agreed schedulesYour skills, experience and beyond3+ years' experience in estimating, planning, executing, and reporting on software testing activitiesProven ability to design, write, and execute automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript, and ideally experience with ToscaHands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman and RestAssuredStrong skills in creating and running performance tests using JMeterWorking knowledge of cloud platforms, with a focus on AWSSolid understanding of SQL and relational databasesExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLabFamiliarity with test management and defect tracking tools, ideally Xray Test Management for JiraWe value potential, learning agility, and diverse perspectives just as much as experience, and we encourage you to apply.
