Technician Role Overview
The role of a technician is critical in maintaining the operational readiness of advanced ICT and engineering systems.
As a technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surveillance operations by providing front-line support for ICT and technical systems.
* Provide technical support for ICT and technical systems used in surveillance operations.
* Perform system administration tasks on Red Hat Linux platforms.
* Troubleshoot faults and liaise with customers, engineers, and field technicians.
* Document maintenance activities and system faults in line with engineering protocols.
* Support engineering upgrades, investigations, and system health monitoring.

* Certificate IV or higher in Electronics, Telecommunications, or IT – or equivalent hands-on experience.
* Proven expertise in one or more of the following: Radar, RF systems, Telecommunications, ICT or Systems Administration.
* Practical experience with Red Hat Linux and network troubleshooting (switching & routing).
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
* Strong customer service focus and fault resolution skills.
* Must hold an active NV1 security clearance and be eligible for an NV2.
