Mine Site Supervisor - DIDO from Mackay
Support Multiple Mine Sites | 7/7 Roster | Strong Leadership Role
About the Role
We're seeking a proactive and experienced Mine Site Supervisor to join our team, based in Mackay and servicing 6-7 mine sites in the North Bowen Basin. This is a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) position, working on a 7-on / 7-off roster with company vehicles provided for travel between sites.
This hands-on leadership role reports directly to the North Bowen Basin Branch Manager and works closely with on-site laboratory teams. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of site operations, focusing on employee management, client relations, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and support daily operations across multiple mine sites to ensure productivity, quality, and client satisfaction
* Supervise and roster site-based employees, ensuring appropriate staffing and shift coverage
* Maintain open communication and attend meetings with client representatives and mine site personnel
* Promote and enforce safety standards across all work areas
* Monitor and maintain lab equipment including XRF, Proximate Ovens/Furnaces, Leco Sulfur, and Leco CV
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives, minimising waste and reducing downtime
* Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Work Instructions
* Support staff development and training to foster high performance and retention
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workplace presentation
What We're Looking For
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Prior supervisory or leadership experience - preferably in a lab or mining environment
* A proactive and reliable attitude with a focus on teamwork
* Previous experience in Mining or Laboratories will be highly regarded
* Ability to pass medical
