About the role
Arnhem Accounting and Business Services is seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join our dynamic team. This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of a remote client, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial processes. The role is intially for 9 months covering the Maternity leave with possiblity of extension.
What you'll be doing
1. Maintain and process invoices, purchase orders, and related documentation through Aroflo/ Xero.
2. Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts.
3. Assist with payroll, including data entry, employee set up and reporting.
4. Providing administrative support to the accounting team including liaising with suppliers/contractors for any invoice queries and follow up on outstanding payments.
5. Assist in month end reconciliations/ reports including accruals.
6. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
7. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
What we're looking for
1. Experience in accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing.
2. Strong attention to detail and ability to met deadlines.
3. Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Degree in Accounting.
6. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards.
