**Your new role**
This is a great opportunity to progress your Procurement career.
You will assist the Category Managers and Director of Procurement in their daily tasks. The role will involve product management, reporting, communications and analysis. You will build relationships with supplier partners and ensure supply chain risks are managed while developing costing models to provide savings and increase profitability.
As Assistant Category Manager you will be responsible for
- Coordinating and preparing meetings
- Understanding and analysing supply markets
- Collating a database of supplier partners
- Managing internal and external customer relationships
- Update strategy details for inclusion in board meetings
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of commodity pricing
- Coordinating RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs and evaluate results
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Analytic mindset
- Negotiation skills
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Understanding of customer's operations
- Great communication skills
