As Chief Engineer – Data Platforms, you will define the technical vision, mentor high-performing teams, and deliver solutions that make a real impact, and play a pivotal role in enabling the vision of AI-first mindset amongst engineers.
What you will bring (skills & capabilities) …
Technology Strategy & Architecture
* Define and evolve enterprise data engineering roadmaps across Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Informatica, and Teradata.
* Champion modern data stack tools (DBT, Airflow, Kafka, Delta Lake) and DevSecOps automation.
* Establish reference architectures, reusable blueprints, and best practices for ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers.
* Ensure architectural integrity across domains – batch, streaming, real-time, and ML/AI workloads.
Engineering Excellence
* Embed quality, reliability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency.
* Drive coding standards, CI/CD templates, and data quality frameworks.
Delivery Leadership
* Guide engineering squads building pipelines, data products, feature stores, Machine Learning and AI workloads.
* Translate business needs into scalable designs and enforce reusable, automated patterns.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, business-friendly language.
* Build trusted relationships across senior leadership and delivery teams.
Talent Development
* Mentor engineers and tech leads, foster craftsmanship and continuous learning.
* Lead communities of practice, hackathons, and innovation challenges.
Risk & Governance
* Ensure data engineering practices align with internal risk frameworks (Data Governance, InfoSec, BC/DR).
* Maintain a high standard of data protection, access control, and ethical AI data use.
