Weighbridge Officer (Casual)
$33.63-$44.83 per hour + 12% Superannuation
The Role
Are you a customer service champion? The Town of Port Hedland is currently looking for casual support from reliable individuals to join our Waste Operations team as Weighbridge Officers on a casual basis.
The successful applicants will be expected to operate as effective team members at our South Hedland Landfill Facility.
A day to day would include providing effective communication and quality control between customers and waste operations and maintaining weighbridge data.
Responsibilities of our Weighbridge Officers therefore include:
* Operate the weighbridge system to accurately record vehicle weights and waste types
* Deliver friendly, professional customer service to all landfill users
* Maintain accurate data entry, documentation, and daily transaction records
* Verify and classify waste loads in line with facility policies and regulations
* Communicate effectively with Waste Operations staff to support smooth site operations
* Assist with safe traffic flow and adherence to site safety and environmental standards

Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
* National Police Clearance
* Current 'C' class drivers license
* Rights to work in Australia
