Provide Expert Advice on Fire Safety matters to Members of the Public and/or Council staff

***About the role**
We currently have an opportunity for a permanent full time Building Surveyor - Fire Safety to join the City Assets and Operations Team. This position will be primarily responsible for, but not limited to, conducting fire safety audits of existing buildings, issuing Fire Safety Orders, and providing expert advice on fire safety matters to members of the public and/or other Council staff.
***About You**
The successful applicant will have appropriate tertiary qualifications in Building, Building Science, Building Surveying, Engineering or equivalent. You should also have proven field experience in fire safety projects, as well as knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, Building Code of Australia, relevant Codes and Australian Standards as they relate to building compliance.
