We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/ Junior Finance Officer to join our team at the Port of Brisbane. The primary objective of this position is to provide administrative support, customer service and logistical assistance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as Bookkeeper using XERO
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with Daily Invoicing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Bookkeeping activities
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Duties:
- Financial:
- Manage the reconciliation of bank statements and credit card transactions
- Manage the accounts payable process including the data entry and payment of supplier invoices
- Manage the accounts receivable process
- Manage the weekly payroll
- Liaise with team members to ensure accurate entry of financial information in a timely manner
- Completion of end of month accounting procedures (such as reconciliation of balance sheet accounts) to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
- Perform general administrative tasks, as needed to support the financial management of the business
- Follow up on customer orders as required
- Customer Service:
- Efficiently resolve customer inquiries and issues
- Logistics Support:
- Prepare and reconcile accurate transport & shipping documentation (e.g. invoices, customer charges & filing)
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, carriers and suppliers
- Maintain and update logistics charging databases and spreadsheets as required
