We are seeking an Electrical Trade Assistant to join our team in Olympic Dam. This role involves providing support to the Mine Electrical Reticulation work team, adhering to operating requirements and striving for safe achievement of individual, team and site objectives.
As an Electrical Trade Assistant, you will be responsible for:
* Complying with and consistently following standards and procedures designed to enable safe and effective work
* Providing trade assistance skills to support planned, unplanned or breakdown maintenance
* Developing working relationships with maintenance and other personnel to ensure maintenance activities are rectified immediately and escalated where required
* Providing continual feedback to Shift Maintenance Supervisors on job progress
* Updating events and work requests with accurate scope of work to support effective planning of work
* Providing feedback to Maintenance Supervisors on improvement opportunities
* Maintaining a high level of housekeeping in all work areas
This position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7/7 rotating day/night roster arrangement with residential Roxby Downs, FIFO (from Adelaide) and Regionally located DIDO options available.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A proven commitment to looking after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way
* Previous experience working in a similar Electrical Trades Assistant role within the mining industry (preferred)
* Working at Heights and Integrated tool carrier tickets are advantageous
* Experience with mining/minerals processing environments (preferred)
* A proven ability to demonstrate appropriate HSEC behaviours
* The ability to communicate across multiple levels and disciplines
* The ability to work autonomously, or as part of a team
* A current, valid driver's licence
