Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and imaginative educator to lead our primary drama program. As a primary drama specialist, you will inspire creativity through engaging lessons tailored to early learners, foster confidence, collaboration, and communication through performance, and develop speaking and listening skills through role play, storytelling, and imaginative play.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement best practice curriculum in teaching areas to support the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of students
2. Develop, plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate programs for the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of students
3. Maintain all school records; assess, record and report on student progress
4. Take a proactive role in the spiritual development of students, including teaching Christian and Values Education (CAVE) if required
5. Be aware of special/additional needs, cultural, linguistic, religious, gender, language diversities and socio-economic differences and treat each child with dignity and respect
6. Liaise with and support parents and actively encourage parent involvement
7. Participate in staff development days, Outdoor Education Programs, Year Level Information Evenings, Parent Teacher Interviews, Principal's Welcome Evenings, Excursions, Musical Productions and Co-curricular activities, and others as directed
8. Encourage students to be lifelong learners
