THE ROLE This is a great opportunity to join a newly established division focused on protecting the rights of children, young people and people who use social services. As Principal Advisor, you'll work closely with the Executive Director to shape strategy, drive key initiatives and support a coordinated approach across multiple regulatory schemes. You'll provide high-quality advice on complex matters, lead priority pieces of work and play a key role in setting the division up for success. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Day-to-day your responsibilities will include: Drive cohesive divisional strategies and initiatives that strengthen safeguarding of children and people who use social services; identifying cross-scheme risks, setting reform priorities and ensuring alignment to government direction and legislative obligations Oversee integrated divisional planning, prioritisation and reporting across regulatory schemes, ensuring alignment to scheme objectives, legislative obligation and government commitments and tracking performance to surface and respond to emerging risk Provide authoritative, high-quality strategic advice to the Executive Director on system performance, emerging risks, sensitive issues and reform directions, supported by robust analysis and a whole-of-division perspective, including through the preparation of clear, timely briefings, submissions and recommendations For more details, please open the position description.
